I’m Vivek Patel, a designer, builder, and engineer from San Francisco, currently studying Design (Physical & Manufacturing) and Civil Engineering at Stanford, where I plan to coterm in Mechanical Engineering. I’m drawn to projects that live at the intersection of hardware, engineering, and design, where creative ideas become tangible systems you can actually use and test.

I’ve worked on everything from building a bike horn and a mechanical vault door to prototyping data tools and hardware for startups. I like hands-on work that’s iterative, technical, and a little obsessive, taking ideas from first sketch to functional build.

Outside of work, I play electric guitar, design small side projects, and spend a lot of time on the golf course and tennis courts. I’m always looking for interesting companies and projects that make things, not just think about them.
